2007 Workshops Calendar
We at Appalachian Life Workshops are excited to announce our 2007 Workshop Calendar. This year is chock full of unique learning opportunities that are completely “hands on” and designed to allow you to step back in time and experience a bit of what life was like 100 years ago throughout the Appalachian Region.
Each workshop will focus on a particular skill or technique used by the old time craftsmen—but that’s only part of it. We are just as interested in creating an atmosphere that is reminiscent of a bygone era: open-fire-cooked meals, no electricity, horse drawn transportation, and full days of hard work. We realize these workshops are not for everyone, but if you want to spend a few days far away from your normal everyday life and take home a unique handcrafted item you made yourself, then Appalachian Life Workshops may be just what you’ve been looking for.
